2 ultra-modern holiday homes in South Tyrol
The Mirror Houses are not far from the South Tyrolean city of Bolzano and were designed by the architect Peter Pichler.
The rear facade is completely mirrored and reflects the surrounding landscape and the neighboring farmhouse. The house opens to the front with a large glass facade that merges with curved lines into the black aluminum shell of the side walls. The building consists of two units offset in height and length. It sits on a recessed base, which makes it almost seem to float and allows better views of the apple trees and the mountain panorama.
The picturesque view is also the focus of the two holiday apartments: apple trees and the mountains of South Tyrol as far as the eye can see.
The central room is the kitchen-living room with floor-to-ceiling window fronts; The bedroom and bathroom are located in the rear area and are illuminated and ventilated via skylights. Each apartment has a private covered terrace and its own garden. The pool area behind the building - with swimming pool and bar - is available to guests of both apartments in the summer months.
