L'Arte della Lana is a 17th century palazzo that for generations has belonged to an old Atrani family, who in the old days were wool merchants. They would travel down the coast from Cilento as far as Sicily to collect it and bring it back to Atrani. Due to its antique origins the palazzo is divided into separate parts that are linked together by stairs and little bridges forming a network of alleys that have always been a feature of this small town. The sea, the attractive beach of Atrani, the view of Castiglione on one side and the baroque church of Maddalena on the other, are an integral part of the background to the enchanting views that you can enjoy from the apartments. The white of the alleys and the blue of the sea remain in the visitor's mind long after he has left. The beach can be reached in just a few minutes on foot. The apartments have all been recently renovated with taste and are equipped to be more comfortable with amenities such as air-conditioning, satellite TV, ADSL internet connection, and washing-machine. Each has its own private external space with a view that are furnished for dining outside. Due to its proximity to Amalfi these apartments are well-served by public transport and a car is not necessary, even though the property has a limited number of private car-parking spaces available on request at an extra cost.
