Villa pool Positano

Villa Gardenia is situated just 3.5 km from Positano, along the panoramic road leading from Sorrento to Positano, Amalfi and Ravello. The name of the villa is derived from the fact that it is completely immersed within a vast olive-grove stretching out over natural terraces that overlook the sea. The property extends over 7 hectares cultivated with olives and fruit trees and has a wealth of fascinating footpaths that clamber up the sea-facing slope of the mountainside.

Villa Gardenia is built around the 6x10 m swimming-pool, surrounded by open-air living-rooms with bamboo furniture, which provide delightful meeting points for the guests.

The villa is composed of 4 separate units distributed over different levels. These levels are connected to each other by fascinating external routes, designed by the irregularity of the surrounding terrain, which has enabled the creation of a fantastic garden, rich in vegetation and full of enchanting secret corners. As a result of the division of the villa into several units, each bedroom constitutes a veritable suite which are all are skillfully furnished while inspired by different styles ranging from the rustic, through the eighteenth-century, to the oriental.

The two main suites, fitted with wide panoramic windows, are also fitted with air-conditioning.
Gardenia is equipped with all modern conveniences such as AC, TV, stereo, dishwasher and washing-machine, WIFI internet connection. It  lies 3.5 km from Positano, 15 from Sorrento, and 60 from Naples. The nearest beach is in Positano

Don't forget to ask the villa staff about the wild beach at the foot of the villa that can only be reached on foot (along a path for 'expert climbers').

The location is ideal for exploring the towns along the coast both east and west and up towards the small villages of Montepertuso or Nocelle with their characteristic trattorias. A half-hour west you arrive in Sorrento and the more relaxed Massa Lubrense for a local meal and beautiful sunsets. Forty-five minutes east and you are in the pretty town of Ravello (visit the two historic panoramic gardens and enjoy lunch in the piazza). Positano is of course a 10-minute drive away.
