Villa Adriana is a very unusual property from an architecture point of view, which has been featured in many magazines. Set on the edge of the gorgeous Lagoni di Mercurago nature reserve near Arona, it has been designed in the sixties by a renowned architect in a shape reminiscent of an airplane!
In the main circular part, a huge living room has replaced the old ballroom. Matching corridors in the two wings end in a spacious dining room on one side and a bedroom on the other. During a recent renovation, the villa has been decorated in light colours and comfortably furnished.
The garden with a covered terrace and a swimming pool (12 x 5 metres) offers a fabulous panorama over the Lago Maggiore, only a few hundred metres away, and the medieval fortress of Angera.
