Acquired by the French philosopher Maurice Blondel in 1920, the villa’s gardens are a testament to his passion for botany, featuring four distinct sections: Italian, English, Japanese, and French. The gardens have been featured in several prestigious gardening and interior design magazines, showcasing their timeless beauty.

The villa can accommodate up to 12 guests, offering spacious and bright rooms furnished with a tasteful mix of antique and contemporary pieces. Guests can enjoy alfresco dining in the outdoor dining area in front of the villa or in the elegant central loggia inside. Each corner of the villa offers an abundance of natural light, highlighting its tasteful interiors.

Prime Location on Lake Maggiore Located in Baveno, Villa Ghis offers easy access to the best of Lake Maggiore. Guests can explore the charming town of Baveno, just a short drive away, with its beautiful Piazza della Chiesa and local shops. From Baveno, it’s easy to rent a boat and visit the stunning Borromean Islands, such as Isola Bella and Isola dei Pescatori. The villa is also conveniently located within an hour’s drive of both Milan and Como, making it an ideal base for day trips to these vibrant cities.

For larger groups, the villa offers an additional annex, which can accommodate up to 4 more guests for an extra fee. A daily maid service is available (except on Tuesdays), ensuring a comfortable and stress-free stay.

Entering the main villa on the ground floor you’ll find a cosy living room opening up on the outside terrace, toilet, and the spacious kitchen. Dining can be enjoyed outside both on the terrace area in front of the villa as well as in the attractive internal central patio.

Going up to the first floor there is a studio room with desk and computer and stairs up to a mezzanine bedroom with two single beds, a bedroom overlooking the lake with two single beds, a bathroom with shower, a sitting room with TV and videogames, the master bedroom overlooking the lake with double bed, bathroom with tub and handheld shower (bathroom accessed by both bedrooms), a bedroom overlooking the inner patio with two single beds. This last bedroom can be accessed either from the patio or from the previous bedroom and bathroom.

On the second floor are two bedrooms leading out to a balcony with amazing views over the lake. You’ll find subsequently a bedroom with double bed, a bedroom with two single beds, and a bathroom with shower. Please note that the rooms can be accessed only by passing through the previous rooms.

Included: Maid service available daily apart from Tuesday.
