Villa La Brisina is an elegant vacation rental on Lake Maggiore, set in a panoramic position above Stresa and surrounded by 8,000 m² of terraced parkland. This classic villa combines timeless charm, generous indoor and outdoor space, and truly outstanding lake views, making it a wonderful choice for a relaxing holiday in northern Italy.

The villa accommodates up to 10 guests in 5 bedrooms and offers spacious, comfortable interiors in a refined historic setting. Much of the house has been recently renovated, while its graceful character has been carefully preserved. Guests can enjoy a private swimming pool, a sauna, several panoramic terraces, a large lawn, and beautiful outdoor areas with period garden furniture dating back to the 1930s. A special extra is the ping pong room, set in the naturally cool garage built into the rock near the entrance gate.

Villa La Brisina is located in the small village of Brisino, only 3 km from Stresa, one of the best-known towns on Lake Maggiore. Stresa is loved for its elegant lakefront promenade, charming historic streets, shops, cafés and restaurants. From here, guests can easily visit the famous Borromean Islands by ferry or private water taxi and discover some of the most beautiful scenery on the lake.

This villa is also an excellent base for exploring the wider region. Popular day trips include Milan, Turin, Pavia, the vineyards of Piedmont, romantic Lake Orta and the hiking valleys behind the villa. Across the lake lies the largest nature reserve in Europe, and the surrounding area is rich in botanical gardens, walking routes and cultural sights.

A steep driveway and then granite Steps lead up to an elegant colonnaded covered porch where you can sit, dine and relax while admiring some of the finest lake views. You’ll enter an central entrance hall with original murals and frescos. It accesses a large bright living room with elegant antiques and a grand piano set in its own indoor veranda. There is a further cosy library used as a TV room, a dining room that can seat 10 persons and that is hung with a collection of antique porcelain. There is a totally charming kitchen which opens out to an outdoor garden terrace shaded by empress trees with a stone garden table and barbecue. In additional there is a guest WC, garderobe and laundry room on the ground floor.
The first floor comprises 3 large bedrooms each with its bathroom, two with a tub in addition to a shower, one with a shower only, and all, including the bathrooms, their own balcony access. There are two panoramic terraces. The master bedroom is furnished in the Genovese style with 2 single beds and an en-suite bath and shower room. The other two bedrooms have double beds.
On the lower ground floor, you will find a further large, comfortable living room, with views over the azaleas, two further bedrooms, one with a king size bed and one with twin beds and a newly-renovated bathroom with large walk-in shower as well as a small sauna and a separate entrance opening directly out into the gardens.

Extra to be paid cash upon arrival:
– Cleaning (obligatory): 300 Euro per week
– Bed linen, bathroom and pool towels (obligatory): 150 Euro
– Pets allowed (upon prior request only): 10 Euro per day per animal (maximum two pets)
– Heating (seasonal – cost can be updated to real market rate): 50 Euro per day plus preheating of 2 days
