Casa Rufo is a contemporary holiday home set harmoniously on a quiet hillside above Castiglione Chiavarese. The architecture was designed from the ground up to celebrate the beauty of the Ligurian landscape, with clean lines, refined materials, and high-end technical features.

The access to the property is particularly atmospheric: a historic stone archway leads to a private pathway with traditional stone steps rising through the terrain. The house is situated on a 7,000 m² terraced plot shaped by characteristic dry-stone walls, seamlessly integrated into the surrounding nature. The stone façades of Casa Rufo honour this local tradition and blend architecture and landscape in an elegant way.

Inside, Casa Rufo feels like a live-in design museum. The rooms are kept in pure white to highlight the original furniture pieces by renowned international designers. Sofas, armchairs, lighting and tables are carefully curated items. Floor-to-ceiling windows create a fluid connection between indoors and outdoors, opening onto expansive views over the hills and towards the horizon of the Ligurian Sea.

Each bedroom has its own en-suite bathroom. The entire house is equipped with a modern climate system, featuring underfloor heating for cooler seasons and underfloor cooling for the summer months. A controlled mechanical ventilation system ensures fresh, filtered air throughout the year.

Outside, the 18 × 4 metre infinity pool dominates the scene, with two overflowing edges creating a seamless visual transition into the landscape. The spacious pool area, positioned directly in front of the living room, forms the natural focal point of the property.

Convenience is ensured by an integrated garage on the upper level as well as additional outdoor parking. Despite its peaceful setting, the sea at Sestri Levante is only 10 km away. Genoa Airport (50 km) and Pisa Airport (110 km) provide excellent travel connections. The village centre is easily reached via the pedestrian pathway.

You enter the house via a black stone staircase. On the ground floor, a spacious living and dining area with an open, fully equipped kitchen welcomes you. Between the living area and the sleeping area lies a large terrace with a generous dining table – perfect for outdoor meals and relaxing moments overlooking the surrounding landscape. From the living room, you have direct access to the pool area.

The sleeping area includes three double bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom.
