Situated on a sunny plateau with stunning mountain views, Villa la Castagna is nestled among the green hills of Piedmont. This villa is the realized dream of Danish owners Charlotte and Finn, who purchased a ruin on a large plot of land with the desire to build a traditional stone house with ample space for friends and family. Villa la Castagna is the beautiful result!

Behind the typical Piedmontese-style façade, you'll find modern interiors with understated luxury. Scandinavian design is blended with traditional rural elements like wooden furniture and rough stone walls, while black accents and dark stone floors create a chic atmosphere. Modern lighting and designer furniture complete the stylish look.

The villa is finished to a high standard and equipped with all the luxurious amenities needed for a relaxing holiday. The heart of the holiday home is the living/dining room with a semi-professional kitchen that offers many possibilities for preparing delicious Italian dishes. The kitchen is very well equipped, including two dishwashers and a wine fridge.

The villa features 6 hotel-style bedrooms, each with its own modern bathroom, some with access to a balcony.

Outside, there is plenty of space to enjoy the Italian "dolce far niente." On the shaded terrace, you can enjoy homemade pizzas from the wood-fired oven or grill delicious meat. Children can play on the lawn or enjoy a game of pétanque. The stunning panoramic infinity pool is perfect for long summer days.

The surroundings of Villa la Castagna are authentic and diverse, with small typical villages, beautiful hilly landscapes with hiking and biking trails, and numerous wineries producing some of the best wines in Italy.

Less than 1 km away is the small village of Cimaferle (Ponzone). In winter, it is quiet, but in summer it is lively, especially in the local bar/restaurant Sanfont. In Cimaferle, there is also a delicatessen and, a little further on, the restaurant Il Laghetto, which is open for lunch and dinner and serves delicious pizzas.

The Piedmont region is famous for its fantastic wines (Barolo and Barbaresco), its truffles, beautiful hilly landscapes, and authentic villages. But the coast is also not far away. For a day at the beach, we recommend driving to the Ligurian coast (Riviera di Ponente). Here you will find some beautiful beaches about an hour's drive away, such as Spiaggia di Bergeggi (49 km) and Spiaggia di Noli (55 km), both with all facilities.
