A Restored Stone Farmhouse Full of Character

Owned by Dutch couple Miranda and Mathieu, Poggio Maria has been lovingly renovated into a welcoming and fully equipped holiday home for up to 12 guests. The traditional stone architecture blends harmoniously with modern comfort and style.

Spacious & Perfect for Families and Groups

With 330 m² of living space spread over two floors, the villa offers six comfortable bedrooms and three modern bathrooms (two with underfloor heating). The large living room with a wood-burning stove invites cosy evenings, while the fully equipped kitchen with SMEG appliances makes cooking together a pleasure.
All bedrooms feature comfortable box-spring beds, which can be converted into singles (except one).

Outdoor Living & Relaxation

The outdoor areas of Poggio Maria are designed for relaxation and togetherness:

• 12 x 6 m private pool (depth 1.5 m) with sun loungers and umbrellas

• Roof terrace with lounge area and hammock – ideal for reading or sunset drinks

• 9,000 m² private garden with large lawn for children to play

• Two al fresco dining areas – one main dining table and a pool house with BBQ, outdoor kitchen and additional dining table

• Table tennis and a selection of comics for family fun

The fully fenced property includes four parking spaces and an automatic gate.

Location & Surroundings

Poggio Maria lies in the small village of Melazzo, home to a castle, a grocery shop, bakery and local restaurants. The spa town of Acqui Terme is just a 10-minute drive away, offering cafés, shops and the famous thermal baths. From its hilltop position, the villa enjoys sweeping countryside views and peaceful seclusion – perfect for those who want to unwind and experience authentic Piedmont.

Poggio Maria (330m2) is a detached two-storey holiday home for a maximum of 12 people. Ideal for two families with children who want to spend their holiday together in the gourmet region of Piedmont in northern Italy.

Ground floor:

Well-equipped kitchen with stone worktops, authentic details and modern appliances such as dishwasher, oven and 5-burner gas hob. SMEG frigde.
Spacious dining room with a large dining table for 12 people.
One bedroom (20m2) with a 200x160cm bed.
One bedroom (20m2) with a 200x180cm bed and patio doors to the outside terrace
One bedroom (40m2) with a 200x160cm bed, en-suite bathroom with double washbasin, toilet, bidet and double shower and patio doors to the outside terrace.
Laundry room with washing machine and a small bathroom with sink, shower, and toilet (access through the laundry room)

First floor:

Spacious living room with two sitting areas, one with a wood-burning stove, the other with digital TV and a library, exit to the garden with the pool.

Final cleaning, bed linen and towels: 250 euros (to be paid together with the 2nd payment)

Additional cleaning and change of bed linen and towels on Saturday for rentals of more than 1 week: 100 euros

Deposit: 500 Euro (by cash)
