One of the strong points of this large stone house full of charm is the incredible panorama over olive groves, vineyards and historical villas all the way to the medieval town of Lucca.
Giannello was built in this prime position and renovated in a delightful country style around the original features time gave its patina to such as exposed beams and cotto floors. Painted in light colours, the interiors are very spacious and welcoming. A sitting room has been added in an unusual location: The old cellars!
The lovely garden, the beautiful private pool (12 x 6 metres) and the well appointed terrace are perfect for relaxing and enjoying outdoor meals.
The picturesque village of Matraia is located within walking distance and offers restaurants and grocery stores. On request, meal preparations or cooking lessons can be arranged for the guests.
